Antiproliferative and Antibacterial Potentials of Endophytic Fungi Associated with Bangladeshi Medicinal Plant Tinospora Cordifolia

Endophytes provide mutual benefits and produce various biologically active secondary metabolites in plants. Our study was designed to isolate identify fungal endophytes from fresh leaf bark of Tinospora cordifolia, coupled with their bioactivity preliminary chemical screening. Six endophytic fungi were isolated using surface sterilization technique. The identified by microscopic molecular characterization confirmed TCLE-1 as Fusarium perseae, TCLE-2 keratoplasticum, TCLE-3 fusarium macrosporum, TCBE-1 falciforme TCBE-2 well TCBE-3 leaving unidentified. Isolated strains cultured large scale on potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium extracted ethyl acetate. Antibacterial activity extracts performed disc diffusion method cytotoxicity HeLa cell line MTT assay. In antimicrobial test, all the except showed moderate potent comparison standard kanamycin.
